Sand Springs police are searching for a suspect who robbed a Kum & Go at 230 South Adams just after midnight this morning.
Sergeant Kyle Alexander with SSPD said that on surveillance footage, the white male suspect was seen in a zipped-up black hoodie, wearing sunglasses and a brown hat. He reportedly pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money, which he received, then told the clerk to get on the floor.
Police say he then ran away in a northeast direction to his parked vehicle, which was determined to be a white Dodge pickup. Police say surveillance footage shows he headed east onto Charles Page Boulevard towards Tulsa.
10 minutes before the Kum & Go robbery, the suspect was seen in the lobby at Best Western Inn & Suites at 211 S. Lake. Police are not sure what the suspect's intent there was, but he left shortly after arriving. He was seen leaving Best Western in a white Dodge pickup towards Kum & Go.
The suspect is believed to be between 5'8" and 5'10" and between 30 and 40-years-old. A few hours after the Kum & Go armed robbery occurred, it was determined that the suspect had been in the store earlier in the night.
