Authorities in Adair County are continuing their search for an individual accused of shooting a woman and setting her home on fire.
Deputies with the Adair County Sheriff's Office have been searching for Benjamin Wilson since June 4 after the shooting and fire in the Price Mountain area east of Stilwell. Adair County is located east of Tulsa County along the Oklahoma and Arkansas border.
"According to our victim, she is an eye witness [and] she has said he is the one that shot her and he is the one that set the house on fire," Sheriff David Hardin previously told KTUL.
Emergency paramedics arrived to the unidentified woman's home and found she had been shot in the arm and her house in flames. Firefighters were able to quickly put out the fire and the woman was transported in stable condition to an area hospital.
Officials announced this week that deputies have been working with the U.S. Marshals Service and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Witnesses notified search crews that Wilson was reportedly in the Honey Hill/Bethel area, but instead they located his father, Wade Wilson.
Authorities placed Wade under arrest for several outstanding warrants. They included felon in possession of a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia.
No new information has been provided about Benjamin's whereabouts. He is described as being a white male, 5 foot 8 inches in height and 160 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.
Wilson is also reported to have several tattoos on his body, including a flag on his right shoulder and a green clover on his left upper arm. He is a convicted felon and considered "armed and very dangerous."
Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts should contact the ACSO at (918) 696-2106. Officials added that anyone that comes into contact with Wilson should not try and apprehend him.
