Doctor Tom Coburn made one of his last appearances today as a U.S.Senator.
Speaking to Tulsa's Rotary Club, Coburn said lawmakers on Capitol Hill need to stop procrastinating and start making decisions now.
The Senator announced in January, he's retiring this year.
However, once that's done, Coburn says he's still got plenty of work ahead. And that includes motivating young people to get involved.
"I'm going to work on communicating with the Millennial generation about what's getting ready to happen to them. And hopefully to get them aligned and get them to start participating."
The winner of the Democratic run-off August 26 will face Republican James Lankford in November for Coburn's empty seat.
