Separate Incidents in Tulsa Leave One Man Stabbed, Another Behind Bars
Tulsa Police responded to three separate incidents Wednesday afternoon in the Tulsa area that left one man injured and another behind bars.
The first one occurred just after 5 p.m. in the area of Hurley Ford on W. Skelly Drive. They were called out in reference to a man covered in blood.
Officers said that they weren't able to located the man until they received another call that he was possibly around Reed Park on S. Yukon Avenue. It wasn't until Tulsa Fire Department located the man covered in blood a short time later in the 3700 block of S. Olympia Ave.
Once located, officers found him to be intoxicated and uncooperative. He told officers that he had been robbed by two suspects in a gray pick up truck.
He was later transported to St. Johns Hospital for stab wounds to the back of his head and neck.
Also Wednesday, officers with the Mingo Valley Division responded to an alarm around 8:00 p.m. at the Fiesta Mart on E. 21 Street South. There they were told of an attempted burglary by a suspect they later identified as Courtney J. Fletcher, 36.
Officers located Fletcher at the Save A Lot Grocery Store at 2140 S. Sheridan Rd. When an officer approached him, he fled on foot southbound from the location to E. 23 Street.
The suspect was located by officers when he was attempting to get to his vehicle. He was arrested for robbery with a dangerous weapon, first degree robbery, assault and battery on police officer and obstructing a police officer.
Then just after 8:45 p.m., TPD were sent to the area of 2100 E. Seminole St. in reference to a shots fired call.
According to the release, once they arrived at the residence officers discovered that the home had actually been shot multiple times. Four individuals were located inside the home at the time of the incident, including three children.
Detectives are currently investigating the scene and collecting evidence.
