Shea Seals Leaving Booker T. To Join Tulsa

Booker T. Washington head boys basketball coach Shea Seals resigns to join the Golden Hurricane.

Sources close to the University of Tulsa confirm to Tulsa's Channel 8 Sports that Seals will join Danny Manning's staff in some capacity.

Seals did confirm that he resigned as the Hornets head coach, but was not able to comment on the TU situation because it's not a done deal yet.{} I few weeks ago he did tell me that it would be a dream come true to return to his alma mater and coach.

He played for the Golden Hurricane from 1993-1997 and is Tulsa's all-time leading scorer with 2,288 points.{} He's also part of the TU Athletic Hall of Fame.{} Seals played in the NBA for the Los Angeles Lakers from 1997-1998.

He said it is tough to leave his players at Booker T.{} "You build relationships and watch them grow over the last few years and it is tough to leave those guys." Seals said.

Seals led the Hornets to Back-to-back State Championships in class 5A in 2010 and 2011.
