Economic initiative "Small Business First Friday" began today at Sweet Lisa's Cafe, which has been around Tulsa for 15 years.
Co-owner of Sweet Lisa's, Darrell Knox, recognizes the importance of small businesses to communities like Tulsa.
"Small businesses are very important for the local economy because of the jobs and the stimulus to the local economy as well," Knox said.
I think small businesses are what fuels the country," Knox said.
Knox pointed out the uniqueness that small businesses offer and was appreciate of the efforts being made to promote businesses in the district through Small Business First Friday, for example.
"The more we do support our small businesses, the more they will continue to grow," Knox said.
