Sooners Experience A Disappointing Trip To West Virginia
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - Eron Harris scored 26 of his 28 points after halftime and West Virginia outlasted No. 21 Oklahoma 91-86 in overtime Wednesday night.
Juwan Staten added 20 points, 10 rebounds and six assists for the Mountaineers (14-9, 6-4 Big 12), who won their third straight. Terry Henderson scored 17 points.
Harris forced overtime with a 3-pointer with 20 seconds left in regulation and scored six points in the extra period.
Travel problems prohibited Oklahoma from arriving at the arena until 90 minutes before tipoff. The Sooners overcame that and a 14-point deficit in the second half but were limited to five points in overtime in losing their second straight.
Jordan Woodward led the Sooners (17-6, 6-4) with 23 points. Tyler Neal added 16 points, Buddy Hield had 15 and Ryan Spangler 10.
