Statewide results were gathered by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol for Operation C.A.R.E. (Combined Accident Reduction Effort) for the 2014 Memorial Day weekend areas. They were released Tuesday afternoon.
There were 8 fatality collisions, 9 fatalities, 3 unrestrained fatalities, 152 total collisions, 22 alcohol-related crashes, 113 DUI arrests, 575 speed citations, 844 seat belt violations, 21 child restraint violations and 447 motorist assists.
These numbers are only according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol and do not reflect data gathered by other agencies.?
