The consensus around the Sooner Nation is that running back Damien Williams needs to get the ball more.
He leads the team in rushing with over 290-yards and he's scored five touchdowns. That's an average of over 97-yards a game.
His average would be higher but he only got 10-carries for 36-yards in Oklahoma's loss to Kansas State.
Bob Stoops says Damien has earned the right to more carries.
"We've talked and it's obvious, we wanted to get Damien more carries and more opportunities." OU Head Coach Bob Stoops said, "It's just based on practice and what we've seen in games. He's been really strong taking care of the football, making big plays and taking care of the football."
The Sooners look to bounce back after their first loss of the season. OU will travel to face the Red Raiders of Texas Tech this Saturday in Lubbock. The kickoff is set for 2:30pm on Tulsa's Channel 8 and ABC.
