Christmas came early for some kids at a West Tulsa elementary school.
Thanks to Project Reach Tulsa and employees at Bob Hurley Ford, every child at Park Elementary got a pair of tennis shoes for gym class.
On the countdown, the kids ripped open their packages Friday afternoon.
Volunteers are hoping the shoes help the kids be more active.
Tracy Collins said, "You know, kids need an outlet. They can't just sit in a classroom all the time and do work studies. They need to have some activities. It's good their health. And it's good for their spiritual well being."
Project Reach volunteers also provided hot chocolate and candy.
This is the second year for this event.
