Students Reveal Art in Broken Arrow
Students work to develop 3-dimensional art projects at Central Park in Broken Arrow.
Broken Arrow Parks & Recreation, Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce, Broken Arrow High Schools and Your Design BA came together to present The BA Pop-Up Art Installation Project to the community.
"This program challenges students to design, create, install, and maintain site-specific 3D works of art in Broken Arrow public parks. The installations last three to four weeks and incorporate geocaching technologies to help monitor and gauge public interaction," according to a press release by Your Design BA. "This is an ongoing project that will produce a new installation every three months. The students are currently working on their first project. They have already successfully presented a detailed proposal, gotten approval from the city, and are currently fabricating."
Their first project is scheduled for an unveiling during Rooster Days, May 9 and May 10 at Central Park in Broken Arrow.
