Suspect Booked for Strangling Woman
A Tulsa man is behind bars after allegedly choking his girlfriend Monday night around 11 p.m.
Tulsa Police were called out to the 1900 block of North Columbia Place in reference to a domestic assault involving a choking.
Police found the victim, who had a black eye and visible marks on her neck from a choking. The victim said the suspect, Marquis Rogers, 33, slapped her, choked her, slammed her on the ground and dragged her back into the residence when she tried to escape.
The victim also said the suspect attempted to stop her from calling the police.
The suspect had a felony warrant out of Grady County for possession with the intent to distribute.
After this incident, Rogers was booked on complaints of domestic assault and battery by strangulation and interfering with an emergency call.
