Suspect On The Run After Chase, Crash

Police are still searching for whoever crashed their car after a high-speed chase in North Tulsa.

The pursuit began early Monday near Woodrow and north Lewis Avenue. An officer was trying to pull a car over for a minor traffic issue, and the man driving wouldn't stop. A check of the tags revealed he was driving a stolen car.

Police discontinued the pursuit for safety reasons when the man reached speeds of almost 100 miles per hour on city streets. It didn't take long for him to lose control and crash at Admiral and College Avenue.

The car took out a fence and small outbuilding.

Police said the suspect got away, but there was some evidence in the car that gives them some idea of who they're looking for. Witnesses weren't able to give officers a detailed description.
