A suspect who was reportedly trying to break into a vending machine last week has been arrested after being released from the hospital.
According to the Tulsa Police Department, two men were reportedly trying to break into vending machines in the area of 9200 block of East 65th Street last Saturday when a security guard found them.
A fight broke out and the security guard reportedly shot Michael Evans, 23, in the stomach. Evans reportedly ran from the scene with the security guard's gun but eventually required treatment in the hospital.
Evans is a Collinsville resident.
He was arrested on complaints of aggravated assault and battery, larceny from a person, in addition to complaints he was already facing from past arrests, which include eluding and reckless driving.
