T-Town Rundo Plenty to Do in Tulsa Area this Weekend
If you are as excited about the weekend arriving as we are, then be sure to check out some of the events going on in the Tulsa area below!Chow do And what better than on some of the area's best steak Beginning at 9 a.m. and lasting through 9 p.m., downtown Tulsa will be the location for the Oklahoma Championship Steak Cook-off. At least 50 teams will showcase some of their best steaks to all those interested. Event-goers can even check out some live music and even a car show. The event takes place near the Trinity Episcopal Church.Head northeast: Over to Miami where the Ottawa County Free Fair continues through Saturday. On this final day, festival-goers can check out a demolition derby, a diary cattle show and lots of fried foods on sticks. The fair takes place on the Miami Fairgrounds and last through 10 p.m.Expo Square: Will be home to the Green Country Cowboys of Color Rodeo Saturday evening. This is the fifth year the event takes place in Tulsa and tickets are just $10.Claremore: Animal lovers can head up to the Dog Expo over at the Claremore Expo Center. Dogs and their owners from surrounding states will be present competing Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. There's also plenty of activities for those not competing. And all proceeds benefit the Claremore Animal Shelter.Take a Run: Or more so a 5K. Beginning at 8:30 over at Veterans Park runners will convene for the Glow Run. White t-shirts, glow sticks and plenty of neon colors will illuminate the area as runners raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training program.Head to Owasso: For the Family Fun Fair at Rayola Park. The fair last through 2 p.m. on Saturday. Adults and children and take part in plenty of activities and even a raffle for various prizes.
