A Taft woman was taken to an area hospital after driving a vehicle with her knees in Muskogee County.
Paramedics transported Jewell Jones to the hospital in stable condition Wednesday afternoon. She had been driving with Jemaure Sango two miles south of Haskell before the reported wreck.
A report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol states that Jones and Sango were southbound on US-64 when Jones reportedly opened the driver side door to roll up the window "while steering with her knees."
"For an unknown reason the driver fell out of the vehicle," the report described. "the vehicle then went off the road to the right."
Officials state that Sango had to pull the emergency brake to stop the vehicle. It halted in the ditch.
Both were reportedly not wearing seatbelts at the time. Sango was not injured during the incident.
