      TCC Extends Rides Free Program

Tulsa Community College has announced that is extending the TCC Rides Free Powered by Tulsa Transit campaign through the spring 2014 semester.

The campaign enables TCC students and staff to ride Tulsa Transit for free.

TCC is extending the project because of its success during the fall 2013 semester in which TCC reported that the program gave 31,532 rides.

"TCC is very pleased with the success of the pilot program," TCC vice president for administration Sean Weins said in a press release.

"The high response rate and the positive feedback we heard shows a proven need and desire, especially from students, to have more access to public transportation."

Students and staff who would like to ride the free shuttle just need to show a TCC ID and a TCC spring 2014 sticker, which is available at TCC Human Resources Office or a Student Activities Office on any campus.

The program marks the first ever unlimited free ride program in the Tulsa area, according to the TCC release.
