TFD Advocates CPR Training after Mayor Bartlett Helps Save Life

The Tulsa Fire Department is encouraging citizens to undergo CPR training courses after a recent incident where a bystander helped to save a life through CPR.

The bystander happened to be Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett, who was able to perform CPR on a person in cardiac arrest until emergency crews arrived on scene.

CPR training courses can be taken through the American Red Cross.

"It's a life-saving skill," TFD captain Jose Ariza said.

"If you are CPR-trained, you can truly make a difference," Ariza said.
