TGIF: Tonight's Tulsa Happenings

The rain is on its way out and we're expected a sunny weekend in Tulsa -- so here's your weekly breakdown of what's going on around town.

Musical happenings

If you're a fan of the former band Cross Canadian Ragweed, you might want to head to Cain's Ballroom tonight for the Magical Misdemeanor Tour.

Former CCR frontman Cody Canada (who appeared on Good Day Tulsa) is playing in his new band The Departed alongside Shooter Jennings. Tickets are $22 and the show starts at 8 p.m.

The Christian rock band Needtobreathe and Ben Rector are taking over the stage at the Brady Theater Friday night. Tickets are $20 or $25 and doors open at 8 p.m.

Progressive metal band Trans-Siberian Orchestra is playing at The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino to a sold-out crowd tonight.

Sporty events

The Tulsa 66ers will go head to head with the Iowa Energy at the Convention Center. It starts at 7 p.m. and tickets are as low as $10.

The BOK Center is hosting the Tulsa Oilers vs. Allen.

The Green Country RV, Boat and Cycle show kicks off Friday and runs through the weekend at the QuikTrip Center in the Expo Square.

Tickets for adults are $8, kids 12 & under get in free.

For the kiddos

The Tulsa Aquarium is hosting a "Splash of Color" from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday.

Kids can discover the colors of the Amazon, from the poison dart frogs to the parrots and birds of paradise.{} Learn what those vibrant colors mean, from warnings to love is in the air.

There's also two behind-the-scenes tour at the aquarium Friday, at 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Another event for the kiddos -- The Tulsa Zoo's newest exhibit. The Helmerich Sea Lion Cove opened to the public last week and has been a huge hit so far.
