The holiday rush is kicking in to high gear, and lots of events are set in the countdown to Christmas.
There are a number of toy drives happening this weekend. Here are just a handful:
Regional Hyundai's toy drive for the Broken Arrow Neighbors ends Saturday. For every toy that is donated, donors will receive a Buy Broken Arrow ticket. That ticket could be worth $10,000, $3,000 or $2,000 dollars.
Muskogee police officers continue their camp-out toy drive today at the Arrowhead Mall. Cops will be on site taking donations until 5:00pm Saturday.
A Skiatook chiropractor is also getting into the giving spirit. His office is the drop for the annual Ryder Herring toy drive. It's named for a young boy who is battling a horrible disease. Toys will be collected from 8:00a-5:00p Saturday.
There's plenty of good music and entertainment this weekend, too.
Cain's Ballroom hosts it's 17th-annual Red Dirt Christmas show Saturday at 7:00pm. The program features the Red Dirt Rangers, The Great Divide, The Damn Quails and Bo Phillips Band.
Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol continues at the John H. Williams Theater in the Tulsa PAC. The show starts at 7:30pm. Additional performances are set for December 19th-22nd.
Over at the Tulsa Convention Center, Andrew Lloyd Weber's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat continues its run. There are two shows this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, and three more chances to see it next weekend.
