Thousands Raised for Duncan Shooting Victim's Family

While two Oklahoma teens are behind bars, charged with first-degree murder in the "boredom" slaying of an Australian baseball player, people all over the world are coming together in support of the victim's family.A Go Fund Me page was created in honor of 22-year-old Christopher Lane by a teammate, Marshall Veal, who writes that he played with "Laney" in Oklahoma and that "he became a brother to me" has already raised thousands of dollars in a matter of hours.Veal said all donations will be directed to a foundation created with the school the men attended, East Central University in Ada, and given directly to the family. The goal is to raise enough money to cover all expenses for Lane's family to fly to Oklahoma from Melbourne, Australia to retrieve the body.Nearly $80,000 was raised by Wednesday evening -- well over the $15,000 goal.Police said 15-year-old James Francis Edwards Jr. and 16-year-old Chancey Allen Luna killed Lane as he jogged on a road in Duncan to "overcome boredom."A third teenager was charged with being an accessory.Link to Go Fund site: http://www.gofundme.com/3zktjc
