Three Rescued From Arkansas River As Water Rises

Tulsa Fire Department rescue crews pulled three people out of the Arkansas River early Monday morning as the water rose around them.

A Fire Captain tells Channel 8 that the trio were fishing near the pedestrian bridge most of the day Sunday. That's near 2900 S. Riverside Drive in midtown Tulsa.

The water started rising around 12:45 a.m. Monday. Tulsa Fire officials are not certain whether operators at Keystone Dam were releasing water at that time.

The Fire Department dispatched a rescue boat and brought the three back to shore, unharmed.
