The Oklahoma City Thunder sign free agent point guard Sebastian Telfair to a contract.
"We are pleased to have the opportunity to welcome Sebastian to the Thunder organization and Oklahoma City community," Presti said. "His competitiveness and work ethic have complimented his on-court leadership skills throughout his career, and we are excited to be able to integrate these qualities into our team."
Telfair averaged 26.1 points and 6 assists for Tianjin Ronggang in the China Basketball Association last season.
He was drafted by the Portland Trailblazers as the 13th overall pick in 2004. He's played for Portland, Boston, Minnesota, LA Clippers, Phoenix and Toronto in nine seasons in the NBA.
The Thunder also acquire the rights to Sofoklis Schortsanitis and a trade exception for the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for guard Thabo Sefolosha, the rights to Giorgos Printezis and cash considerations. The Thunder will have one year from July 15, 2014 to exercise the trade exception.
