Tornado Summit Helps OK Leaders Prepare For Disaster

A tornado meeting is helping state leaders cooperate with meteorologists so everyone can be ready for severe weather.

The two-day National Tornado Summit is underway in Oklahoma City.

The open discussion started after the tornadoes of last May.

Leaders want to find better ways to protect schools, improve storm detection and help victims after the storm.

About 800 people are expected to attend, including insurance agents and emergency managers and Gov. Mary Fallin.
