Troopers Continue Search for Missing OKC Boater After Crash

Lake Eufaula authorities are continuing their search for an Oklahoma City man missing following a boat crash Thursday evening.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol stated the accident took place around 10 p.m. a mile east of Eufaula Cove just north of Sherwood Point. Troopers described that a 2002 Crest Pontoon and a 1996 Stingray were anchored on the lake when a ski boat struck the bow of the Pontoon and "went airborne" landing on the Stringray.

According to the release, one of the occupants, later identified as Gary Mcininch, was ejected from the Pontoon following the collision. He currently remains missing.

Troopers described that the occupants in the Pontoon and Stingray told the operator of the ski boat Mcininch was missing and were searching for him. He left the scene shortly after and remains unidentified, according to the release.

At the time of the collision there were a total of ten occupants on the Pontoon. Two children were injured after the crash and transported to OKC and are now listed in stable condition.

Officials are still searching for Mcininch and asking anyone with information about the operator of the ski boat. His boat was described as being white and dark-colored and approximately 20 feet in length.
