Troopers Take Over Old Army Center Building In Muskogee

An old military complex in Muskogee is put to new use for Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers.

The former Army Reserve Center at 1806 N. York was dedicated Wednesday as the new Troop C Headquarters.

It will be a few more months before the building is ready for Troopers. Crews have to renovate the old structure before it begins its second life.

The "change of building" ceremony Wednesday featured a flag raising and tour.

Troop C covers Wagoner, Cherokee, Adair, Sequoyah, Muskogee, Haskell and McIntosh Counties.
