Tulsa Man Facing Child Pornography Charges Due in Court Today
A Tulsa man is due in court Wednesday after turning himself in for possessing and distributing child pornography back in October.
Shawn Neihart, 48, will appear before a Tulsa court room for his preliminary hearing Wednesday morning. Officers arrested him back on Oct. 15 at the Tulsa County Jail.
His charges include aggravated possession of child pornography, possession of child pornography, distribution of child pornography and possession of obscene material, according to the documents.
The affidavit details that Neihart was in possession of 100 or more images of naked and/or partially naked children in sexually explicit poses and/or engaged in sexual activity with adults.
On the count of distribution of child pornography, Neihart allegedly sent images of naked and/or partially naked children to an undercover agent for the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
Online court documents detail that during his court appearance on Oct. 24, he entered a plea of not guilty.
Neihart is being held at the Tulsa County Jail on a total bond of $100,000.
