Tulsa Man Arrested after Allegedly Robbing, Stabbing Woman outside Quiktrip

A 58-year-old woman was stabbed Friday evening shortly before 8 p.m. as she came out of the QuikTrip located at 61st and Lewis.

The suspect, Marquell Williams, an 18-year-old black male, allegedly demanded the woman's purse and because she did not give it up quickly enough, he stabbed her in the left rib cage. She suffered a collapsed lung and was transported to Saint Francis Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect reportedly fled the scene but a canine with officers on scene reportedly picked up a good scent. Officers caught the man running into the Southern Villa Apartments and took him into custody.

Williams is being held on $161,100 bond.
