Tulsa Man Charged with Murder in Shooting Death of Roommate

James High

A murder charge has been filed against the Tulsa man accused of shooting his roommate in the head with a rifle.

James High, 21, was arrested on July 24th following the shooting death of 49-year-old Gerald Greenfield at their midtown home near 21st and the Broken Arrow Expressway.

According to a police report, High told officers he must have shot Greenfield, but did not remember doing so.

He left the scene and was later arrested at the hospital Greenfield was taken to, police said.

High was charged Friday with first-degree murder and possession of a firearm.

He is being held in the Tulsa Co. Jail without bond.
