Tulsa Man Turns Himself In On Charges of Child Pornography
A Tulsa man was taken into custody Monday morning for allegedly possessing and distributing child pornography.
Shawn Neihart, 48, was arrested after he turned himself in around 10:30 am to the Tulsa County Jail, according to the arrest report.
District court documents describe that Neihart was booked on four charges that were filed on Oct. 11.
His charges include aggravated possession of child pornography, possession of child pornography, distribution of child pornography and possession of obscene material, according to the documents.
The affidavit details that Neihart was in possession of 100 or more images of naked and/or partially naked children in sexually explicit poses and/or engaged in sexual activity with adults.
On the count of distribution of child pornography, Neihart allegedly sent images of naked and/or partially naked children to an undercover agent for the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
Neihart also was charged for downloading obscene material involving bestiality onto his computer, according to the affidavit.
He is due in court Oct. 24 and is being held at the Tulsa County Jail on a total bond of $60,000.
