Tulsa Public Schools Campus Police Chief Resigns

Tulsa Public Schools is looking for a new Campus Police Chief.

Chief James Hill is resigning effective immediately due to health-related issues.

Hill just took over the position on June 3, 2014.

The district released a news release saying it is reaching out to community leaders to assist internal staff with the selection of a new chief.

Superintendent Keith Ballard says, "It is unfortunate that we find ourselves in this position at the beginning of a new school year. However, we have excellent staff in place in the department, and this is one of those things outside our control. We are committed to putting the right person in this position. We wish Mr. Hill the best, and appreciate his service to TPS."
