Twenty-Seven New U.S. Citizens Attend Ceremony Downtown
Twenty-seven residents were newly naturalized Wednesday morning during a ceremony that took place downtown.
The naturalization ceremony was held at noon and hosted by the Rotary Club of Tulsa and the United States District Court.
According to a release from the event this afternoon, the new U.S. citizens came from all parts of the world including Bulgaria, Spain, Egypt and Mexico. Three judges with the Northern District of Oklahoma were also in attendance at the ceremony.
At the ceremony, friends and family listened to remarks from various Tulsa officials and a video presentation.
The new citizens received their certificates shortly after.
