Two in Police Custody for North Tulsa Homicide
Tulsa Police have arrested a suspect in a burglary turned fatal shooting this evening.
Police say a 16-year-old and 22-year-old Henry Harris were taken into custody earlier this afternoon in relation to a shooting.
According to police, the suspect attempted to break into a vehicle near 6300 N. Elwood. The residents of the home yelled at the burglar and a several shots from a handgun were fired. One of them struck 44-year-old Armando Hernandez, who later died of his injuries.
Evidence found at the scene led detectives to the suspect the teen suspect. The suspect was found with a gun, that matches a description for the weapon. The gun has not been tested at this time. The 16-year-old suspect was taken into custody for felony murder and conspiracy to commit auto theft.
Harris turned himself in this evening and was taken into custody for second degree murder.
