Victory Christian: Former Janitor Enters Guilty Plea Before Judge
An ex-janitor at a Tulsa megachurch has entered a guilty plea to making a lewd proposal of a child.Israel Castillo entered the plea on Friday in Tulsa. His sentencing is set for Oct. 18.Castillo had originally pleaded not guilty and was scheduled to start a jury trial on Tuesday. Castillo had been free pending trial and the judge ordered him into immediate custody.Castillo worked at the 17,000-member Victory Christian Center in south Tulsa. He is accused of sending lewd Facebook messages to a 14-year-old girl.Another ex-janitor at the church, Chris Denman, was sentenced to 55 years in prison last year for various sex charges, including the rape of a 13-year-old girl on ministry grounds.Copyright 2013 The Associated Press.
