Fire crews were on hand at a Vinita resident Tuesday afternoon as they attempted to contain a fatal fire.
It happened just after 6 p.m. at the 400 block of North Foreman in the northern part of Vinita. One male resident was located inside the house during the fire.
Vinita Fire Department told KTUL.com they arrived at the single level residence where a fire began and was contained in the den room area of the house. Crews were there for approximately three hours putting out the fire.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing, but officials did tell us there were no smoke alarms present.
