Threat Remains After Small Grass Fire Sparks Up in Wagoner Co.
A small grass fire sparked up again in the same area where firefighters were stationed Monday afternoon.
Fire crews were sent to the area near 151st and 209th East Avenue after receiving reports that patch of land had caught fire once more.
The fire was able to be knocked down quickly. It was contained to the already burned area.
Firefighters remained in the area this afternoon watching for any flames. Forestry Department crews are being called in to remove some trees to prevent more flare ups.
Earlier this week multiple crews were on the scene after more than 750 acres were burned. Two structures were damaged during the height of the fire.
Heavy winds made the process more difficult during the attack.
Nine agencies, including the Broken Arrow and Coweta Fire Departments, were involved in the effort to contain the blaze.
Area fire departments remain vigilant Tuesday with the threat continuing throughout the day.
