Watts & Bell Make Maxwell Award Watch List

University of Tulsa running back Trey Watts is named to the Maxwell Award watch list given to America's college player of the year.

Watts racked up over 1,108 yards last year and he has seven 100-yard rushing games in his career.

Projected University of Oklahoma starting quarterback Blake Bell is also up for the Maxwell Award. Bob Stoops hasn't named Bell the starter just yet. But I think most think he'll win it.

There are so many questions surrounding the Wichita native. Like can he throw. He's only thrown 20-passes in his two-years in Norman.

He scored 24-touchdowns as Landry Jones back-up, all of those were rushing TD's.
