Whole Foods Recalls Cheese
Whole Foods is recalling cheese after several people have gotten sick.
At least one person is dead and others from several states were sickened by a bacterial infection called listeria.
The company says the cheese was sold in 30 states and in Washington, D.C., under many names, including Les Freres and Crave Brothers Les Freres.
One person in Illinois was sick after eating contaminated cheese in May. An elderly person died in Minnesota and another person was hospitalized after an illness linked to the cheese.
Listeria can lead to severe illness for women who are pregnant or people who have weakened immune systems.
