      Wildfire Aftermath--How You Can Help

      We have seen an overwhelming response from Oklahomans wanting to help their neighbors. For those of you looking to make contributions to the victims of the Oklahoma wildfires this weekend, here's a list of places you can go:{}The Red Cross has set up Shelter at the south location of Sand Springs United Methodist Church. {}It is located at 101 W. 38th in Sand Springs. {}Donations of bottled water, Gatorade, pre-packaged food and snacks can be accepted there.{}There is also shelter that has been set up at the church's main location at 4th &Main in Downtown Sand Springs. {}They are taking donations of clothing, toiletries, water, paper goods,pre-packaged food and snacks, and baby items. {}Mannford Schools are also accepting cash donations to provide school supplies for displaced students. {}School superintendent Dr. Steve Waldvogel tells Channel 8 that so far they have received reports that 4 staff members and 47 students have lost their homes to the fires. {}You can donate by visiting the schools website at and sending your donation via snail mail. {}The Tulsa Salvation Army is accepting donations of water and other hydrating beverages at its warehouse at 924 S. Hudson. Donations can also be mailed to The Salvation Army, PO Box 12600, Oklahoma City, OK 73157.Danny Beck Chevrolet, in Sapulpa, is also accepting donations of clothing, food, and supplies for the Mannford fire victims. {}Finally, you can always donate to the red cross by texting {}"RED CROSS" to 90999.{}
