Wojcik Sets TU Win Record By Beating Houston 72-48

      Doug Wojcik recorded his 138th-career win at the helm of the Tulsa men's basketball program with a 72-48 victory over Houston, making him the all-time winningest coach in school history.{}The Golden Hurricane (15-10, 8-3 Conference USA) used a 19-2 run early in the second half to pull away from the visiting Cougars (11-13, 3-8 C-USA) in front of a crowd of 4,764 fans Saturday night at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.{}Wojcik moved past Clarence Iba (1949-60), who ended his illustrious career with 137 career victories.{}Sophomore Jordan Clarkson led all scorers with 21 points, and he scored in double figures for the 22nd-straight game. Senior center Steven Idlet added 15 points and nine rebounds off the bench, and junior guard Scottie Haralson tallied 13 points.{}The Golden Hurricane returns to the court on Feb. 15 when the team travels to Hattiesburg, Miss., for a showdown with first-place Southern Miss. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
