Woman Accused of Raping, Robbing Another Woman in Midtown
A Tulsa woman is in jail Tuesday on accusations that she tied up another woman with extension cords, raped and stole her vehicle.
Officers booked Julie Jones into the Tulsa County Jail on an outstanding felony warrant from Rogers County. She faces possible robbery, rape and kidnapping charges for an incident that took place in March.
Booking information states that the alleged crime happened after the unidentified victim arrived a residence in the 4900 block of S. Cincinnati Avenue to collect money for yard work she had done earlier in the day. When she entered the residence she was attacked by two female suspects.
"The suspects proceeded to assault the victim about the face and head," the report describes. "The suspects then tied the victim's wrist and ankles with extension cords."
During the incident the female victim recognized one of the suspects as Jones. Both were reportedly friends in the past.
Jones and the other suspect used a gun and knife to control the victim, according to the report. The victim told officers that they raped her and at the conclusion of the attack stole her cell phone, cash, jewelry and her vehicle.
Officers stated that Jones admitted to the alleged crime during their interview with her. She is being held on more than $100,000 bond.
