Woman Arrested for Death of Broken Arrow Teen in 2006
Charges have been filed in the 2006 death of a Broken Arrow teenager.
Jarret Clark died at Fort Gibson Lake in May 2006. The medical examiner initially ruled the 18-year-old drowned, but no determination was made if foul play was involved.
On Friday prosecutors announced they were charging Courtney Manzer. She was booked into the Wagoner County Jail on a first degree murder charge.
The announcement ends his family's eight year wait to see charges filed in the case. But the Wagoner County District Attorney added that the investigation is still not over.
Clark disappeared while at a graduation party at the lake. His family has long suspected that Clark got into a fight, was knocked unconscious and thrown into the lake.
A 2007 grand jury investigation ended without charges.
