Fire investigators work to determine what caused a fatal fire in northwest Tulsa Tuesday.
Tulsa Fire Department captain Stan May said the blaze broke out just after 6:00 a.m. at a duplex near 2300 W. Reading St.
An elderly woman was found dead inside by firefighters. Her name and age have not been released.
Right now, investigators believe the blaze flared up in the kitchen and garage area of the home. They're unsure of an exact cause at this time.
A family living in the other half of the duplex got out without injury. The loss of property is estimated around $50,000 dollars.
