A woman was pronounced dead Friday morning after at the Highway 66 intersection in Sapulpa.
Sapulpa Police responded to the scene of fatal wreck around 10:30 p.m. on New Sapulpa Road at 81st Street. It was there that they found a vehicle in the ditch.
Official at the scene told KTUL that a driver heading toward Sapulpa either failed to see or ignored the traffic light and T-boned a 28-year-old woman pulling onto Route 66. The unidentified woman killed had been driving a Toyota Camry while the other driver was in a Honda Fit.
SPD added that the stretch of road has been reported as dangerous in the past. But increased patrols have made it safer.
Emergency crews transported the other driver to an area hospital.
