A woman was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries this morning after wrecking her vehicle in the wrong lane on Highway 75.
Authorities on scene said the woman was traveling southbound in her van on Highway 75 just south of 41st street when she drove over the median, over the cable barrier and crashed into the northbound lane.
The van collided nearly head-on with a pickup truck. The driver of the pickup received minor injuries. The driver of the van was trapped in her vehicle for about 20 minutes before being extricated by the Tulsa Fire Department.
She was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
Crews are still on scene, and traffic on northbound Highway 75 is reduced to one lane.
