Youth City Council In Broken Arrow Encourages Involvement In Local Government

The City of Broken Arrow is starting a Youth City Council.

Juniors and seniors in high school are encouraged to apply.

It's an opportunity to find out how local government works, by meeting with city councilors, touring public facilities, attending meetings and preparing agendas.

To be eligible, participants must be residents of Broken Arrow, a junior or senior in high school (private school students and homeschoolers are accepted), maintain at least a 3.0 GPA, write a 250 word essay and set a proper example for area youth.

Applications may be downloaded at

Questions may be directed to program coordinator Marcae' Hilton at {<}mail{>} or 918-259-2400 ext. 5415.
