Waiting Child: Life aquatic with Sarah and Storm

Keith Taylor spent the day at the Oklahoma Aquarium with sisters Storm and Sarah. While it was not their first visit, it certainly was a memorable trip.

Thirteen-year-old Storm and ten-year-old Sarah had never touched. These two girls were thrilled about their visit saying, “We love it!”

While they do not have fish at home, they are still pet lovers. Sarah says, “We have Bella, she’s our dog.” Storm adds, “She’s a chihuahua.”

They also love school. Storm is in the sixth grade and Sarah is in the third grade. When Keith asked, “So what do you guys do when you’re not in school?” Sarah answered, “Play sharks, goofy sharks!” She then made some pretty funny faces sticking out her tongue. Keith said, “That’s a pretty goofy shark!”

Sarah is very outgoing, while her older sister is reserved and cautious with strangers, Keith asked her what she does when not in school, “Go to sleep,” said Storm.

Keith playfully asked the two sisters if they were ready to talk about boys. “I hate them,” declared Sarah. She reassured Keith though by saying, “You are my friend though.”

Both girls have talked about being adopted and what it means to them, but it is easier for them to show how they feel about family and each other as they hugged one another tight. They will always have each other to lean on.
