Waiting Child: Serious gaming with Thomas

Thomas is a 12-year-old that's serious when it comes to play time. So serious, he rolls up his pant legs.

"Oh no," Thomas says, "I'm warm blooded, so I get hot real easy."

Andy B's hosted Thomas for over an hour. He had the opportunity to bowl, play video games and ride go-carts.

"I love it! I like to come out and have fun. This was like the best time I've had."

Like most kids his age, Thomas is not a huge fan of school. Math, however, is a subject he enjoys. He realizes the important role it will play in his future.

"That's the thing you need to learn most about in life, how to pay your bills," he explained.

While some have doubted his intelligence, he does not let that deter him. He chooses to make others see his abilities by trying to stand out. Thomas wants to play on the football team next year.

"I want to be the quarterback. It would be nice to be the leader of the team. I feel like I'm nobody, like a person who's invisible. It feels like no one can see me. I feel like I'm nothing"

Thomas is looking for a family that can provide him direction and prove once and for all that he is something.
