A would-be burglar was foiled by a hot beverage to the face early this morning.
Tulsa police say the suspect broke into a midtown home on the 1500 block of E. 19th St. shortly before 1 a.m. He was confronted by the homeowners, and took off when one of them threw coffee at him.
Police arrived and spotted the suspect fleeing on a bicycle they say was stolen. Police did not specify whether the suspect stole the bike before or after the reported home invasion.
TPD called in a K-9 unit to help track down the suspect. He allegedly continued to flee police on the bike, but eventually was found near 21st and Cincinnati hiding and surrendered.
The suspect was identified as Nathaniel Hudson. He was arrested on complaints of first degree burglary after a former convicted felony and larceny.
