Attorneys for Bixby players want a hearing to discuss possible DA connections
BIXBY, Okla. (KTUL) —
Attorneys representing the four Bixby high school football players charged with sexually assaulting a teammate are asking the judge for an “evidentiary hearing.”
In new court documents filed Wednesday, they requested to have an “on the record” discussion about potential ties between the Rogers County District Attorney’s office and a parent of the victim.
A few weeks ago, attorneys asked the judge to disqualify the Rogers County District Attorney, Matt Ballard, because of those alleged connections.
It’ll be up to the judge to decide if and when that hearing happens.
